In the 25 years of North Harbour Rugby we have won 12 1st XV titles, which is the most of any school in the region.

Our goal is to win all the ‘A’ Grades while also providing opportunity for all our players to develop their rugby skills irrespective of the level they compete in. With these goals in mind Westlake Rugby utilizes the coaching skills of many highly qualified individuals which include teachers, parents and old boys. Ultimately it is envisaged that we can continue to develop the rugby skills of all boys at Westlake in an enjoyable but competitive environment which will produce talented individuals who will then go on to represent teams at club, National and International level.

Over the years, some fine Rugby players have been produced at both Provincial and National Level. Notable names include Frano Botica, Nick Evans, Ron Williams, Luke McAlister and Dean Kenny who played for The All Blacks as well as Mike Harris (Australia) and Taione Vea (Tonga). Current North Harbour players include Boyd Wiggins, Jordan Manihera and Michael Little. Boyd and Jordan represented NZ U20’s in the 2013 U20 World Cup.
