In the 25 years of North Harbour Rugby we have won 12 1st XV titles, which is the most of any school in the region.

2013 Rugby 1st XVOur goal is to win all the ‘A’ Grades whilst also providing opportunity for all our players to develop their rugby skills irrespective of the level they compete in. With these goals in mind Westlake Rugby utilizes the coaching skills of many highly qualified individuals which include teachers, parents and old boys. Ultimately it is envisaged that we can continue to develop the rugby skills of all boys at Westlake in an enjoyable but competitive environment which will produce talented individuals who will then go on to represent teams at club, National and International level.

Overseas tours are planned every two years with recent tours to South Africa (2008), South America (2010) and Canada/USA (2012). The next tour planned is to California in April 2015. A successful school exchange programme exists which enables our boys to experience Rugby outside their province. These include games against Tauranga BHS and New Plymouth BHS.

In 2015 we will play St Peters College, Mt Albert Grammar School, and Sacred Heart College and participate in the Easter Rugby festival in Christchurch. We will also participate in the NZSS U15 rugby 7’s March 2015.

North Harbour Schools Rugby starts in Term Two: May 10 1st XV and May 17 all other grades.
