This popular event offers Dads and sons an opportunity to spend some quality time together while enjoying a yummy breakfast and hearing our guest speaker.
Our speaker this year is Westlaker Sean Armstrong. As the executive chef and owner of Prime Bistro, one of Auckland’s leading restaurants, Sean became increasingly frustrated with the city’s lacklustre bread offering. He saw a gap in the market and this provided him with a new and exciting opportunity, opening Loaf in 2004. Loaf’s mission is to produce food that customers, whether they’re chefs or accomplished home bakers, would happily pass off as their own and they now supply thousands of loaves and specialty cakes every week to restaurants, food stores and cafés across the nation. Sean wasn’t always successful – hear his journey from school to where he is at today.
All students and their fathers, grandfathers and/or male role models are invited to attend.
