Twelve Angry Men - 2010
This year the Drama Dept produced the classic play by Reginald Rose ‘Twelve Angry Men’. It is the story of a jury’s deliberations about whether a 16 year old boy knifed his father to death. The jury debate whether the quality of the case put before the court warrants his acquittal or the electric chair.
The fourth form drama class did everything involved for the production from acting, set build, painting, the accounts and marketing to lighting and front of house. Young men who had not acted before gradually became skilled and focussed performers.
Many of the audience were surprised at the depth and quality of their performances and they were immensely proud of their achievements. So was I.
