Dewey Finn wants to win Battle of the Bands more than anything. He has only 3 problems, his rent is due, he’s a fat, washed up loser and his band have sacked him. When he answers a phone call for his flat mate from Horace Green Prep asking for a substitute teacher, he decides to impersonate him to earn some money because substitute teaching is ‘just babysitting’. But these kids don’t want to slack off all the time, they want to learn and when Dewey hears them in music class he decides he may just enter battle of the bands after all…
