KBB Music Festival
The KBB music festival is the focal point of the year for instrumental groups at Westlake Boys High School. This year we are entering Symphony Orchestra, Concert Band, Big Band, Symphonic Band, String Orchestra and Stage band into various categories. For a list of performance times, see the calendar on the music and performing arts pages.
Sydney Tour
What an amazing experience. Our two premier instrumental performance groups, Symphony Orchestra and Concert Band really took the 19th Australian International Music Festival by storm, winning gold in their respective categories. Concert Band was honoured to receive a request for an additional command performance at the Sydney Opera House.

Tibetan Sand Painting
Cultural week has given an opportunity for the various ethnicities and cultures within our school to really come alive... and show their stuff!
Among the highlights was a display of Tibetan Sand Painting, a painstaking and fascinating process in which coloured sands were carefully sprinkled onto a table, to create a highly detailed artwork.

Lakeside Rascals
The newest performing troupe at Westlake Boys, the Lakeside Rascals formed at the beginning of this year. A barbershop chorus with a pacific flavour, they have already performed to the enourmous whole school audience at a Monday morning cultural assembly.

Concert Band
The Concert Band are rehearsing hard for their upcoming of tour to Sydney, a highlight of which will be a performance at the Sydney Opera House. Here they are after their first performance of the year at the Equinox concert in the Auditorium.
