B.F.Skinner once said: "Education is what survives when what has been learnt has been forgotten". It can be argued that more than ever, we are required to educate ourselves continually in order to keep abreast of the challenges and demands being made upon our careers today. Working smarter really means having the necessary skills to cope with our working environment. Outside of our work environment, it is just as important to keep our lives balanced and our minds active with our own interests and hobbies.
Our courses cater for all adult age groups and our small classes create a flexible learning environment. Courses are provided in Vocational/job training skills such as communication, computer and business skills in a friendly and non-formal environment. We also run short daytime courses, e.g. ESOL. Our range of classes encompasses a wide variety of interesting courses in the following categories:

The Westlake ACE Charter specifically states that our mission is to provide Adult learning opportunities for the local community in a secure environment. Our school recognises community education as a necessary extension of its responsibility in secondary education. The ACE department aims to serve the needs of the community by providing the widest possible range of learning experiences in an accessible and affordable manner. Our programmes aim to provide Adult learners with the skills needed for employment; encourage adults to continue in lifelong learning opportunities and to instil learners with the confidence to embark on further studies.
