The Library is the centre for the enhancement of social, personal and intellectual development of the school community. It is
an environment that supports the learning and literacy needs of all students. Information literacy and reading for pleasure are
key outcomes.

Library Collection Includes:

Junior and senior fiction; easier-to-read fiction; graphic novels; non-fiction; picture books; magazines;
information files; NCEA and Cambridge subject study guides.

Electronic Resources:

Access to Internet and online databases; Online Library Catalogue (Oliver) – available in the library and off-site through
the Scholaris Website; genre reading lists to support the Junior Reading Challenge.

Teaching Areas:

LSR1 and LSR3 Silent Reading Areas; LSR2 Research and Reading Area; Library Computer Room.

Services:

Photocopiers/printers; laminating facilities; library staff are always available to help students with their
research and reading needs.
