Learner Support

The Learner Support department looks forward to working with you.

We can support you and your son by acting as a sounding board when you have concerns about your son’s learning.
We can also refer you to other expert help (educational psychologists, resource teachers for learning and behaviour and
the advisor for students who are deaf).

If your son has a documented learning difficulty we can discuss your son’s report with you and explain how we can help him
to achieve his potential here at Westlake Boys High School. We can also communicate with your son’s teachers about his
learning difficulty and arrange for your son to have the special assessment conditions recommended in his report.

We are able to provide small group tuition in mathematics if your son is struggling with his classwork.
