Picton Sailing Regattas, February 2017

Five WBHS students travelled to Picton last week for the Interislander Optimist Ranking Regatta. Sailing conditions were light and shifty with a lot of rain. Points earned from the Ranking Regattas and Nationals this Easter will decide the sailors to represent New Zealand at international events this year. WBHS sailors performed exceptionally well at the Regatta, with at least three Westlake sailors expected to earn International Travelling Team positions this year.
