His stories have appeared in The American Science and Nature Writing, The Atlantic, The New York Times Magazine, Mental Floss, and Slate publications and featured on “Radiolab”, NPR’s “All Things Considered”. During his speech he touched upon the different aspects featured within his books — national best sellers “The Disappearing Spoon” and “The Violinist’s Thumb” and in a post interview, he affirmed that there is another “under construction at the moment and coming out in the summer of 2017 about the air and gases that we breathe” -a book which is set to astound if his others are anything to go by.

Kean’s profound enthusiasm and willingness to lend his time was not lost on Westlake’s students, who took full advantage of the opportunity by listening intently and asking a lot of questions afterwards. All in all, Kean’s appearance was a great success with every student who was lucky enough to attend.
